Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot has acknowledged that the sales of Assassin’s Creed Nexus VR, a VR game on the Meta Quest platform, did not meet expectations in 2023.

According to Guillemot, while the sales of Nexus VR were steady, they fell short of the company’s targets. Consequently, Ubisoft has decided against further investment in VR game development for now, as it will likely take some time for the VR gaming market to reach its tipping point.
