Ubisoft’s Senior Executive Astonishingly Reveals Skull and Bones’ Pricetag of $70, a Profoundly Justifiable Match Due to its AAAA-caliber Gaming Experience

Yves Guillemot, the co-founder and CEO of Ubisoft, has stepped forward to defend the $70 price tag of the game Skull and Bones during a Q&A session discussing Ubisoft’s third-quarter game sales. He argues that this is an appropriate price for the game and views it as a Quadruple-A (AAAA) title.

When questioned about why Ubisoft insists on selling Skull and Bones at $70, a price that may be restrictive for some players, it is recommended that this type of Live Service game should adopt a Free-to-Play model as it has a higher chance of creating a player community.

Guillemot responded by stating that Skull and Bones is a game packed with rich content. Players will see just how massive and comprehensive this game is. It is truly a Quadruple-A (AAAA) title and has the ability to provide players with hours upon hours of gameplay.

Skull and Bones is set to be released on February 16th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The game has been in development since 2013, drawing inspiration from the naval system and combat from Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, which first debuted in 2017. The game is being developed by Ubisoft Singapore.

TLDR: Yves Guillemot defends the $70 price of Skull and Bones, considering it a Quadruple-A (AAAA) game with abundant content. Despite suggestions of a Free-to-Play model, Guillemot emphasizes the game’s value and its potential to offer players a substantial gaming experience. Skull and Bones will launch on February 16th for multiple platforms after years of development.
