Unconfirmed: Google Could Offer Generative Experience Search as a Paid Service on Google One.

Google is experimenting with a feature showcasing results from Generative AI in search results as of last year. The feature, named Search Generative Experience (SGE), requires users to opt-in as it is in a testing phase, but Google is now considering making it available to the general public with some conditions.

Reports suggest that Google is contemplating making SGE a “paid” feature through various Subscription services as it is deemed to be a search system enhanced by additional AI, possibly linked to the existing Gemini Advanced in the Google One AI Premium package.

However, Google has not reached a conclusion on whether SGE will be offered as a paid service or remain free with ads and limited functionalities.

TLDR: Google is testing a Search Generative Experience feature powered by Generative AI in search results and is considering making it available to users through paid subscriptions or for free with ads.
