Bloomberg reports unofficial data indicating that Apple now has approximately 20% of iPhones produced in India, or roughly 1 in 5 devices (estimated based on the manufacturing value of iPhones produced, not the selling price). This information suggests that Apple is seriously shifting its iPhone production base out of China, and we see iPhones being exported from India to other countries, especially during the time when the United States is increasing import tax barriers. Apple has chosen to utilize factories of Foxconn and Tata (Wistron, Pegatron) in India, and can now manufacture iPhones fully, including the Pro models. Source – Bloomberg
