Unconfirmed: NVIDIA Developing Next-Gen AI Chipset Design Capable of Exporting to China

According to The Information, reports are claiming that NVIDIA has notified major customers in China that the company is adjusting and modifying AI chips for export compliance to meet the new export conditions set by the United States. Customers mentioned include Alibaba, ByteDance – the parent company of TikTok, and Tencent.

Previously, after NVIDIA reported the impact of export restrictions on the H20 chips to China, CEO Jensen Huang immediately travelled to China to discuss with customers and relevant agencies, as China is a crucial market for the company. It is reported that NVIDIA will start shipping the new chips for customer testing as soon as June, and also informed customers about the latest developments on the Blackwell chip version that can be exported to China.

NVIDIA, ByteDance, Alibaba, and Tencent have all declined to comment on these reports.
