Unison App Ceases Operations: Bridging Data Between PC and Smartphone

Intel has announced the discontinuation of the Unison app for syncing data between PCs and Android/iOS smartphones, which was launched in 2022.

The announcement from Intel can be found on the Unison app page on the Microsoft Store website, stating briefly that the service will be ending on almost every platform by the end of June 2025. Meanwhile, Lenovo’s Aura line of notebooks developed in collaboration with Intel will be shutting down Unison by the end of 2025.

Although Intel has not directly stated the reason for shutting down Unison, it aligns with the new CEO Lip-Bu Tan’s focus on the company’s core business only. Anything that is not part of the core business will either be sold off or discontinued.
