Unlock the Potential of Diablo 1: Play Through Your Web Browser Using File Conversion to WebAssembly

There is a software developer known as d07RiV on GitHub who has successfully converted the files of the game Diablo 1 to be playable through a web browser. This transformation involves converting the binary code of the 1996 game Diablo 1 into WebAssembly and JavaScript.

This project is an extension of the existing Devilution project, which aimed to run Diablo 1 game files on modern PCs. d07RiV has modified files from the Devilution project to run on web browsers under the project name Diabloweb. Players will need the original DIABDAT.MPQ file from the game Diablo (available for purchase on GOG) to enjoy the game in its entirety, or they can try the Shareware version from the project’s website.
