Google has started rolling out the Gemini feature, allowing users of Pixel 9 and Galaxy S25 to explore the outside world through the camera on their mobile devices. Known previously as Project Astra, users must subscribe to the Gemini Advanced package to access this feature.
Gemini Live supports both viewing images captured by the phone’s camera and seeing our own screen in real-time. We can interact with Gemini Live by asking questions like, “What am I looking at?”
An example Google showcased is when our home internet is down, and our router’s indicator light is flashing red. We can open the camera, snap a picture of the router, and Gemini will search for the model and provide troubleshooting steps for us to follow.
TLDR: Google introduces Gemini feature for Pixel 9 and Galaxy S25 users, enabling them to explore the world through their phone cameras and receive real-time assistance for troubleshooting.
