Still in the realm of Siri’s stories, Apple has just announced a delay in the release of new features that enhance usability without constraints, but reports indicate that the current issues with Siri have not yet been resolved.
John Gruber, a blogger with close ties to Apple, mentioned an interesting Reddit post where someone tried asking Siri, “What is this month?” but received no response of “March” at all.
In the first case, Siri replied that it didn’t understand the question. In some instances, it stated that it was currently the year 2025. Upon personal testing, Siri responded with the current date format, failing to directly answer which month it was. This issue is also found in Thai Siri, responding with the date format instead of the specific month.
Gruber mentioned finding a way to ask this question to Siri on Apple Intelligence to get the correct answer. That is, by commanding ChatGPT to let Siri ask ChatGPT instead, resulting in the desired response of “March.”

TLDR: Despite a delay in new features, Siri still struggles to answer simple questions like identifying the current month accurately. Using ChatGPT on Apple Intelligence provides a workaround for this issue.
