Unveiling Dokapon! Ikari no Tetsuken Remastered Edition from the PS1 Exclusive for Switch Release on August 1st

Sting Entertainment, the current holder and distributor of the Dokapon! series, has recently released Dokapon! Ikari no Tetsuken, a remastered version of the game originally launched on the first generation PlayStation back in 1998. This updated version is now available for purchase on August 1st on the Nintendo Switch, exclusively in Japanese language.

The remastered version retains the 2D graphics on the map while the battle scenes are presented in 3D, similar to the original, but with improved image size at 16:9 aspect ratio and enhanced graphics at a higher level of detail. Despite these upgrades, the game still maintains its distinctiveness and flat background scenes reminiscent of the PS1 version.

Dokapon! is an RPG board game with a variety of characters to choose from, where players spin a clock hand to move across different spaces on the map. The battle scenes use a turn-based system and can accommodate up to 4 players simultaneously, with the remastered version allowing online play with friends.

The Dokapon! series, particularly the Ikari no Tetsuken installment, has gained popularity in Thailand, earning the reputation as a friendship-destroying game of the 90s era. However, this game has not achieved much success in the global market or in Japan.

**TLDR: Sting Entertainment releases Dokapon! Ikari no Tetsuken remastered version exclusively on Nintendo Switch in Japanese, featuring enhanced graphics and online multiplayer mode, popular in Thailand but lacking global success.**
