Although it may not seem unusual, if Threads, a social media platform by Meta, eventually displays advertisements in the app, Mark Zuckerberg previously mentioned that they have never considered ads as they want the app to grow with a large user base first. However, Alessandro Paluzzi, a regular app researcher, found code snippets indicating the possible display of sponsored posts in Threads, with the word “Sponsored” next to the user account name. This was further confirmed by another developer, Chris Messina, who came across a JSON file named bcn_single_image_ad, which seems to be used for displaying ads in the app, indicating that Threads is gearing up for an ad display system.
Meta representatives immediately denied this claim, stating that the company has not tested ads on Threads yet and has no plans in place regarding this matter.

TLDR: Despite prior claims by Mark Zuckerberg, evidence suggests that Threads, a platform by Meta, is preparing for the implementation of advertisements, although Meta denies this allegation.
