In a whirlwind of rumors, Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, responded to questions from journalists at the NVIDIA GTC 2025 seminar, stating, “No one has invited us to join any group.” Last week, there were reports that TSMC, considering buying a chip factory from Intel following an offer from President Donald Trump’s administration, discussed joint ownership with several chip design companies including NVIDIA, AMD, Broadcom, and Qualcomm for a Joint Venture. However, just one day later, Intel announced the appointment of a new CEO, Lip-Bu Tan, who declared that they will not separate the chip manufacturing business from Intel.
