Intel has revealed the architectural details of the upcoming Lunar Lake CPU series, unofficially known as Core Ultra series 200. The Lunar Lake notebook is expected to be available for sale in the third quarter of 2024.
Lunar Lake represents a significant change from Meteor Lake (Core Ultra series 100), with a complete overhaul of all sub-components.
CPU: The architecture of both P-core (Lion Cove) and E-core (Skymont) has been optimized for energy efficiency, with a maximum improvement of 40%.
GPU: Upgraded to utilize Xe 2 for enhanced gaming performance by 1.5 times. The GPU also boasts AI processing power of 67 TOPS.
NPU: Intel’s version 4.0 NPU has been enhanced from 15 TOPS to 48 TOPS for improved performance, surpassing Snapdragon X (45 TOPS) and Ryzen AI 300 (50 TOPS).
Intel has stated that there will be more than 80 PC products from 20 manufacturers and brands set to be released in the third quarter of this year.
