Mistral AI has announced enhancements to the le Chat chatbot platform, allowing it to search web data, add a Canvas for easier result customization, featuring ChatGPT-like capabilities, image-document analysis, image generation with FLUX models, and improved response times.
In a move towards a comprehensive suite of features, Mistral has provided a comparison table to showcase how these features stack up against competing AI services. While some features are limited to paying customers or have usage restrictions elsewhere, Mistral offers all these features for free in beta status.
Additionally, Mistral introduces the new Pixtral Large model, a document and image processing model with 124B parameters that outperform Gemini 1.5 Pro, Claude 3.5 Sonnet, and GPT-4o in testing.
Another updated model is Mistral Large 24.11, which enhances capabilities from the previous version, supporting longer inputs, increased accuracy in answers, suitable for organizational use, accessible through Mistral’s API, and soon to be available on Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure within 1 week.
