Unveiling No Rest for the Wicked: A Novel Action RPG Creation by the Architect of Ori

Moon Studios, the game developer behind Ori and the Blind Forest and Ori and the Will of the Wisps, has announced their latest game, No Rest for the Wicked. This time, they have switched gears and created an Action RPG instead. The game is set to be released in Early Access on Steam in the first quarter of 2024, with the console version following after.

No Rest for the Wicked takes place in a fantastical and magical world, with a dark and mysterious theme. It incorporates pirate ship combat into its gameplay, adding an extra layer of excitement. The visuals are visually stunning, with intricate lighting and shadow details, similar to the beloved Ori games.

Thomas Mahler, the founder of Moon Studios, drew inspiration from Diablo 2 and believed that his company could create an ARPG just as well. He compared Ori to Mario and described No Rest for the Wicked as their take on a Zelda-style game.
