The past week saw Honor introduce the foldable smartphone Honor Magic V3 for global release, following its debut in China in July.
Continuing the legacy of the thin profile of the Magic V2 from 2023, the Magic V3 boasts a reduced thickness when folded to a mere 9.2mm (compared to V2’s 9.9mm) and a slim profile of 4.35mm when unfolded (V2 had 4.7mm), weighing in at 226 grams (V2 weighed 231 grams). Honor mentions that these dimensions align the device with traditional candy bar phones in terms of size.
Aside from its slim and lightweight design, another key selling point of the Honor Magic V3 is its durability. It utilizes Special Fiber material, akin to that used in aircraft, embedded in the body to withstand 40 times more pressure, supporting 500,000 folds, with a Super Armored glass display and NanoCrystal Shield for added screen protection.
On the software side, familiar AI features from Google are integrated into Honor Magic V3, such as simultaneous translation on both screens, AI Eraser to remove objects from images, and voice-to-text converter in notes.
Specs of the Honor Magic V3 include:
– 6.43-inch external LPTO display, 7.92-inch internal display
– Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset
– 5150mAh battery with 66W fast charging support
– 50MP main rear camera, 40MP ultra-wide, 50MP telephoto periscope lens with 3.5x optical zoom
– 20MP front camera
– IPX8 water resistance up to 2.5 meters
– Honor Magic Pen support for both internal and external displays
The starting price for the Honor Magic V3 is €1,999 (approximately 75,000 Baht).
TLDR: Honor unleashes the sleek and resilient Honor Magic V3 foldable phone globally, with impressive specs and features at a starting price of €1,999.
