Huawei’s executives have begun teasing the launch of their PC with HarmonyOS operating system in May 2025, after initially announcing it back in 2024. Richard Yu, the CEO of Huawei’s consumer business, has claimed that HarmonyOS for PC will deliver an unparalleled user experience, beyond imagination.

Official details about the HarmonyOS version for PC are still scarce. Unofficial reports suggest that it will support both traditional Windows apps and HarmonyOS apps to mitigate user concerns about familiar applications. The leaked interface of HarmonyOS bears a resemblance to current macOS layouts, featuring a bottom dock.

Additionally, there have been rumors about the Kirin chip for PCs, expected to debut simultaneously in May.
