MediaTek has unveiled the Kompanio series chips for use with Chromebook (Arm) devices, a little while back. Now, they have introduced the high-spec Kompanio Ultra chip, targeting the premium Chromebook market. Similar to Google’s Chromebook Plus catering to the premium product segment (not sure if there will be a Chromebook Ultra in the near future).
The first chip in the series is the MediaTek Kompanio Ultra 910, boasting the following specifications:
CPU: 8-core setup with 1+3+4 configuration
– 1x Arm Cortex-X925
– 3x Arm Cortex-X4
– 4x Arm Cortex-A720
GPU: Immortalis-G925 MC11 with 11 cores supporting ray tracing
NPU performance of 50 TOPS
Supports LPDDR5X RAM (8533 Mbps)
Supports Wi-Fi 7 up to 7.3 Gbps
Supports Bluetooth 6.0
Manufactured using TSMC 3nm 2nd gen process
