Hewlett Packard Enterprise, also known as HPE, has unveiled two new servers that utilize AMD’s EPYC Gen 5 processors, which have just been officially announced. The details are as follows.
The HPE ProLiant DL145 Gen11 server is designed for Edge-level installations and features the AMD EPYC 9005 processor.
On the other hand, the HPE ProLiant Compute XD685 server, tailored for large AI model training such as LLM, is equipped with two EPYC Gen 5 processors and eight AMD Instinct MI325X accelerators.
The ProLiant DL145 Gen11 is available for purchase starting today in select regions, while the ProLiant Compute XD685 will be delivered in the first quarter of 2025.
