Blizzard has revealed details about the new class Spiritborn in the game Diablo IV, following its initial debut in June.

Spiritborn is a close-range fighter who is swift and has the special ability to summon animal spirits to enhance combat skills. The summonable spirits come in 4 different forms: Wolf, Gorilla, Bird, and Beetle.

The storyline of Spiritborn revolves around the inhabitants of the wild Nahantu forest, who can traverse into the Spirit Realm and communicate with the Spirit Guardian animal spirits to summon them into the human world.

The Spiritborn class will be available to play in the expansion Vessel of Hatred, set to release on October 8th.
