ASUS has officially unveiled the ROG Phone 8 Series, which is divided into three sub-models: ROG Phone 8, 8 Pro, and 8 Pro Edition. This time, ASUS has completely revamped the design of the device since 2018, under the concept of Beyond Gaming, catering to three groups of users: gamers, streamers, and creators.

It has become 17% smaller and 15% thinner, features a bezel-less hole-punch display, and is IP68 certified for dust and water resistance, making it the first gaming phone on the market to get this level of protection (previous models were IP54 rated).
The differences between the three sub-models of ROG Phone 8 lie in their RAM, storage capacity, device color, and rear LED lighting. The ROG Phone 8 has RGB lighting, while the 8 Pro and 8 Pro Edition come with AniMe Vision, which includes 341 Mini-LED lights on the back of the device, supporting over 20 animation displays.
