Unveiling the Ray-Ban Meta Glasses: Over 2 Million Sold – Ramp Up Production and Launching Oakley Brand

In the past, Meta has never officially disclosed the sales figures for the Ray-Ban Meta Glasses smart glasses. Information only surfaced from a staff meeting where CEO Mark Zuckerberg stated that in 2024, they sold over 1 million units.

However, it seems that the actual numbers may have come closer to reality from EssilorLuxottica, the company behind the production of various eyewear brands including Ray-Ban Meta Glasses. CEO Francesco Milleri revealed during a quarterly earnings call that the Ray-Ban Meta Glasses have been a resounding success, with over 2 million units sold since their debut at the end of 2023.

Milleri mentioned that currently, the glasses are only available in a few countries and they plan to rapidly expand into additional markets. The company estimates the need to ramp up production capacity to 10 million units per year by 2026.

Previous reports indicated that EssilorLuxottica and Meta have plans to integrate AI features into other eyewear brands within the conglomerate, with Oakley being the next in line.
