Microsoft has unveiled the Surface Pro 11 for Business and Surface Laptop 7 for Business, featuring the Intel Core Ultra 200V (Lunar Lake) processor, a step up from the Snapdragon version introduced in mid-2024.
While the processors differ, the overall look and specs remain largely unchanged across both models. Of significant note is the pricing, with the Intel models of Surface Pro 11 and Surface Laptop 7 being more expensive compared to their Snapdragon counterparts.
The starting price for the Intel version of Surface Pro 11 is $1,499 (compared to $999 for the Snapdragon version), while the Intel version of Surface Laptop 7 also starts at $1,499 (compared to $999 for the Snapdragon version).
These products will be available for purchase starting February 18, 2025, exclusively for business customers. Businesses can choose between the Intel and Snapdragon versions, while consumers will only have access to the Snapdragon model.
Microsoft’s sales strategy for the Surface lineup is now clear – those interested in the Intel/x86 models will need to opt for the Business edition. This approach has been in place since the Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6, which were exclusively offered in the Business version.
