Xiaomi has recently announced the introduction of their new operating system, HyperOS. This revolutionary OS is set to be rolled out worldwide and will make its debut on the Xiaomi 14 series. HyperOS is designed to replace the long-standing MIUI operating system, which has been in use for over 13 years.

Unlike MIUI, HyperOS is specifically designed to support Xiaomi’s diverse range of products and seamlessly integrate with their entire ecosystem, comprising over 200 categories of products, including smart home devices, cars, and more. Lei Jun, the CEO of Xiaomi, explained on Weibo that HyperOS is an Android-based operating system that has been developed to work in conjunction with Xiaomi’s in-house Vela system. Furthermore, it has been built with a completely new architecture to cater to the tens of billions of Internet of Things (IoT) devices, with the capability to support connections to even more devices in the future.

HyperOS will come preloaded on Xiaomi’s upcoming 14 series smartphones; however, Xiaomi has not revealed any details regarding the distinctive features or appearance of this OS. It is expected that Xiaomi will provide more information on HyperOS alongside the launch of their new flagship smartphone in the near future.

TL;DR: Xiaomi is set to release their new operating system, HyperOS, globally. With a focus on supporting Xiaomi’s wide range of products, including IoT devices, HyperOS will replace the longstanding MIUI operating system. It will debut on the Xiaomi 14 series smartphones, with more details about its features expected to be announced soon.
