This totals to 144 flights, ensuring a sufficient number of satellites to support direct communication from satellites to ground devices without the need for signal reception dishes. Additionally, there are plans to upgrade these satellites. However, SpaceX has stated that they currently have no plans to provide voice and data communication services with devices before at least 2025, although they do plan to introduce a text messaging service next year.
