Introducing Mozilla’s Monitor Plus: A Cutting-Edge Data Privacy Surveillance Solution Empowering Users with Data Breach Monitoring and Deletion Requests, Priced at a Modest $9 per Month.

Mozilla, a renowned technology company, has previously offered a password and personal data monitoring service called Firefox Monitor. This service aims to safeguard our email accounts and passwords stored in Firefox by comparing them with leaked data available on the internet. Recently, Mozilla renamed this service as Mozilla Monitor and introduced a premium package called Mozilla Monitor Plus, priced at $8.99 per month. With this enhanced package, users can conduct a more comprehensive assessment of their personal information, including home addresses and bank account details. Additionally, Mozilla Monitor Plus assists users in automatically requesting the removal of their data from websites involved in the illicit trade of personal information.

The functionality of Mozilla Monitor Plus begins by collecting users’ personal information, such as name, date of birth, and residential city (currently only available in the United States). This information is then scanned against various data broker websites. The results are then presented in a dashboard, allowing users to have an overview of which data brokers possess their leaked information. Moreover, Mozilla provides a convenient option to submit data removal requests to 190 partnering data brokers. This extensive network of contact with data brokers exceeds that of similar services offered by its competitors, which only offer the ability to request data removal from a limited number of brokers.

Mozilla’s strategy focuses on introducing paid services to generate new revenue streams for the organization. While primarily related to privacy, these services, such as Firefox VPN and Firefox Relay, aim to financially support the company.

TLDR: Mozilla, previously known for its Firefox Monitor service, has rebranded it as Mozilla Monitor and launched the premium Mozilla Monitor Plus package. Priced at $8.99/month, users can access more detailed personal information checks and request automatic removal from data broker websites. Mozilla’s extensive network of data broker contacts surpasses that of its competitors, reflecting its attempt to diversify revenue sources. Services like Firefox VPN and Firefox Relay also contribute to this strategy.
