iFixit has dissected the new iPad Pro with M4 chip, bringing about various changes to its internal components to accommodate the Tendem OLED display and the front camera relocation.
A significant change that iFixit deems crucial in this new iPad Pro is the battery, which can now be replaced directly after removing the screen. Previously, replacing the iPad Pro battery required removing almost all other components, making the process much faster now (iFixit says at least 2-3 hours).
The battery in the 13-inch iPad Pro dissected by iFixit is slightly smaller in size, with a capacity of 38.99 Wh, down from the previous model’s 40.33 Wh. However, Apple claims that the iPad Pro still maintains the same 10 hours of continuous usage.
