Director of Game Concord Resigns, Studio’s Future Uncertain.

The gaming website Kotaku reported news that has yet to be confirmed, stating that Ryan Ellis, the director of the game Concord, has resigned from his position to take responsibility for the game’s failure. He will now be working in a support role at Firewalk Studios instead.

Ryan Ellis co-founded Firewalk Studios in 2018, having previously been the creative director at Bungie. A former employee of Firewalk interviewed by Kotaku expressed that Ellis had great confidence in the Concord project and invested heavily in it.

The fate of both Concord and Firewalk Studios remains uncertain. Kotaku’s sources have differing opinions on the matter, ranging from game updates and relaunches to starting a new game, layoffs, and even the studio’s closure. Some employees have already begun leaving for new opportunities, while those remaining are anxious to see what the future holds.
