After launching the Mobile ID system using mobile numbers to authenticate instead of national ID cards almost three years ago, only 150,000 individuals have registered, according to the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC). The winner, NetMan Limited, manages the backend systems of over 2,000 dental clinics nationwide and has integrated them with Mobile ID. Meanwhile, the runner-up, Urban Room Co., Ltd., has created the Mevote platform utilizing Mobile ID for authentication of survey respondents or voters, ensuring transparency in voting processes or survey responses.

Ms. Poolsiri Nilkijasarannat, Assistant Secretary-General of the Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC), spearheaded these initiatives.
