Capcom Announces Resurgence of Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny

Capcom has announced a remastered version of Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny, the game originally released in 2002 on the PS2. However, they have not disclosed the release date for this new remastered version yet. The game is set to be available on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

Following the success of the remastered edition of Onimusha: Warlords, the first installment released in 2001, on modern consoles in 2018, Capcom is now gearing up to remaster the second installment. Additionally, a new installment, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, serving as the fifth installment in the main series, is scheduled for release in 2026.
