AirBnb has announced its acquisition of GamePlanner.AI, an AI company specializing in AI design and community management. The technology developed by GamePlanner.AI will become part of AirBnb’s platform.
What’s interesting is that GamePlanner.AI was co-founded by Adam Cheyer, one of the co-founders of Siri before Apple acquired the company. He later went on to help manage the servers closely with Steve Jobs and then founded Viv Labs. Samsung then acquired the company and developed it into Bixby. Additionally, Adam is also one of the co-founders of Change.org.
The deal’s value has not been disclosed, but reports suggest it is worth no more than 200 million dollars. This marks AirBnb’s first major acquisition since going public in 2020.
TLDR: AirBnb acquires GamePlanner.AI, an AI company specializing in design and community management. The deal, worth an estimated 200 million dollars, marks AirBnb’s first major acquisition since going public.
