An Inception of Enchantment: Initiation of Final Fantasy VII’s Rebirth, Unveiling its Release on the 29th of February in the Year 2024

Square Enix has released a new trailer for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, announcing its release date on February 29th, 2024 for the PS5. The storyline of Rebirth follows on from the Remake, allowing players to embark on a free-roaming adventure outside the city of Midgar. However, the game is a standalone experience and can be played without the need for the first installment. Players can also bring their saved data from the first installment to receive bonus summon material, Leviathan/Ramuh.

All the important characters from the original FF7 are also present, including Cait Sith, Red XIII, and Vincent, who makes a surprise appearance. Another significant character in this installment is Zack Fair, Cloud’s older soldier brother, who seems to have a crucial role in the game as he is featured prominently in the main promotional images.

One new addition in this game is the Synergy Abilities system, where two characters can unleash powerful dual attacks together. Examples shown include Cloud and Sephiroth using the Double Helix technique, Yuffie and Barret using the long-range attack Ninja Carbine, and Aerith and Cait Sith using the Kitty Cannonade magic attack.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth also introduces the ability to catch and ride Chocobos. Two types of Chocobos have been revealed so far: the brown-colored Mountain Chocobo, able to climb mountains, and the flying blue Sky Chocobo.

The game will feature various modes of transportation, including the Buggy, which can navigate sandy terrains, and the Wheelie scooter, used in the resort town of Costa del Sol.

Additionally, there will be several mini-games to play, such as G-Bike motorcycle racing, Chocobo racing, and a 3D transformation game where characters turn into boxing robots.

Lastly, aside from different versions of the game, including Deluxe Edition and Collector’s Edition, there will also be a Twin Pack bundle available for those who haven’t purchased the first installment yet. The first installment will come with the Intergrade version and the Intermission DLC, available to play starting from today.

TLDR: Square Enix has announced the release date for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the sequel to the Remake, on February 29th, 2024. This standalone game allows players to freely explore the world outside Midgar, with familiar characters and new additions, including the Synergy Abilities system and the ability to catch and ride Chocobos. Various modes of transportation and mini-games provide additional gameplay experiences. Different versions of the game, including a Twin Pack bundle, cater to different preferences.
