Announcement: Apple Unveils Clean Energy Investment Plan Phase 2 in China, Allocating 720 Million Yuan

Apple announces a $720 million investment in clean energy in China through the China Clean Energy Fund’s second phase, in line with Apple’s goal for 100% of its supply chain to use renewable energy by 2030. This investment includes wind and solar power generation equipment totaling 550,000 megawatt-hours per year. Apple has been investing in clean energy in China since 2018, with the first phase generating over 1 gigawatt of electricity installed in 14 provinces nationwide.

Apple states that today, 2 out of 3 suppliers in its Chinese supply chain use renewable energy, with over 100 participating suppliers.
