Announcement: Nintendo Unveils Reservation Date for Switch 2 in America on April 24th with Same Price Point, Yet Added Accessories.

Nintendo has announced an early pre-order date for the Nintendo Switch 2 in the United States, set for April 24th. This comes after Nintendo postponed the original pre-order date of April 9th, citing the need to assess the impact of additional import duties. The current import duties have been postponed for 90 days.

The price of the Switch 2 in the US remains unchanged from its launch, starting at $449.99, with the Deluxe Mario Kart World edition priced at $499.99. Despite previous statements from Nintendo that the initial pricing did not include the impact of the new import duties, there has been no price increase.

However, Nintendo has increased the prices of accessories from their initial announcements. The Joy-Con 2, originally priced at $90, is now $95, the Joy-Con Pro, initially $80, now costs $85, and the Switch 2 Camera, originally $50, now sells for $55.

Nintendo has also apologized to customers for the advance pre-order date change, hoping to alleviate any uncertainty that may have arisen. The Switch 2 is set to be delivered on June 5, 2025, as planned.
