The game- Red Dead Redemption 1, initially released on Xbox 360 and PS3 back in 2010, has long been awaited by fans to be available on PC. With the release of the sequel on consoles in 2018 followed by a PC version in 2019, hopes for a PC version of the first installment dwindled.
However, out of the blue, Rockstar announced the launch of Red Dead Redemption 1 alongside the Undead Nightmare DLC for PC on October 29, 2024. The PC version of RDR1 was ported by studio Double Eleven, known for their work on porting games to platforms like PS4 and Switch, with a release date in 2023. The game features modern PC gaming elements such as support for 4K graphics, Super Ultrawide (32:9) screens, HDR10 display, NVIDIA DLSS 3.7, and AMD FSR 3.0, among others.
