Another Hit for Team Day 1 – Apple Halts iPadOS 18 Update for iPad Pro M4 Following Reports of Power Failure Issues, Unable to Turn On

Apple has halted the release of the iPadOS 18 update, the latest version of the operating system, specifically affecting users of the iPad Pro with the M4 chip. This temporary halt comes after reports of devices being bricked and rendered unusable during the update process.

Many iPad Pro users have reported this issue on Reddit, finding their devices bricked during the installation process, unable to turn on. When contacted, Apple Store advised users to bring in their devices for inspection and repair, and even offered to replace them with new ones.

Currently, for users of the iPad Pro M4 who have not yet updated, the only option available is to install iPadOS 17.7.

Apple representatives have confirmed this issue, stating that they have stopped releasing the iPadOS 18 update for the iPad Pro M4 temporarily until they resolve the issue affecting a small number of devices.
