Automated Labeling on TikTok: Unveiling AI-Generated Content with Smart Tags

TikTok is the latest platform to announce the implementation of automatic tagging systems. Content uploaded using AI instantly affects content with embedded metadata following the C2PA standard. This is currently supported by various tools such as OpenAI’s DALL·E, Microsoft, Adobe, and TikTok’s own AI-generated content.

TikTok utilizes Content Credentials to verify the accuracy of content. Initially, this impacts image and video content, with sound to follow later on. Despite this, TikTok still allows users to manually tag content if it is created using AI in the future.
