ByteDance, the parent company of TikTok, has introduced its first generation of smart headphones. The key selling point of these headphones is their ability to directly engage in conversations with the Generative AI chatbot.
Named Ola Friend, these over-ear headphones come with earbuds that support voice-activated assistant capabilities. When connected to a smartphone app, users can summon the chatbot named Doubao Doubao (a ByteDance creation) to assist with tasks such as language translation, English language practice, listening to music, or searching for information.
Weighing only 6.6 grams on each side, Ola Friend comes in four color options and is currently available exclusively in China for 1,199 yuan or approximately 5,700 baht.
