Cancellation Alert: Warner Bros. Terminates Wonder Woman Game Project and Shuts Down 3 Studios, Including Monolith

Warner Bros. Games continues to restructure its organization in developing games following the halt of updates for both Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and MultiVersus. Most recently, the decision was made to cancel the development of the Wonder Woman game that was announced back in 2021.

The company stated that the Wonder Woman game had high expectations from fans, but they are disappointed to announce this news, which is a result of internal business strategy adjustments. As a result of canceling this game, Warner Bros. Games announced the closure of three game development studios: Monolith Productions (developer of the Wonder Woman game), Player First Games, and Warner Bros. Games San Diego. The focus moving forward is on delivering high-quality games to ensure the gaming business returns to profitability by the fiscal year 2025.
