A groundbreaking feature of AI power in Copilot+ PC is Cocreate, which harnesses the power of NPU to assist in image creation from AI. Currently, two supported apps are Microsoft Paint and Photos.
In Paint, we can draw anything and AI will help adjust the style for us in real-time in the sidebar (see accompanying clip). Its background uses diffusion models to enhance and customize our images in Paint as desired. As we continue drawing, the AI-generated images automatically evolve.
While Photos may not be as elaborate as Paint, it utilizes Restyle Image filters to transform original photographs into various styles like cartoons or oil paintings. All processing is done locally, allowing for limitless image creation and faster editing compared to online AI image generation services.
