Coral Island Game Development Team Announces Roadmap to Integrate Thai Language Expansion

Coral Island, an indie farming game set on a tropical island, has become a massive hit on Kickstarter. With over $1 million in funding from backers (surpassing the original goal of $70,000), the developers at Stair Way have announced a comprehensive roadmap for updates throughout the year. The team closely monitors community feedback from platforms such as Discord, Steam, Reddit, and social media since the release of version 1.0.

The current development plan stretches all the way to the third quarter of 2024, led by version 1.1 of the game. This update will feature enhancements and new content, including Town Rank S questlines, a tourist system, and NPC characters based on feedback from backers.

During the release of version 1.0, the game fell short of supporting as many languages as intended (currently supporting 9 languages). This was due to underestimating the actual word count in the game and facing high translation costs. The team is now reevaluating their development plan, with plans to add Thai language support starting this month and potentially expanding to additional languages in the future.
