Microsoft has updated Edge to version 117 in the Beta Channel to prepare for the upcoming update for all users next month. There are several new features, such as improvements to Microsoft Edge for Business and Smart Find. However, this update also includes the removal of certain features.
According to Microsoft, the features that have been removed starting from Edge 117 include Math Solver, Picture Dictionary, Citations, Grammar Tools, and Kids Mode. Microsoft explains that these removals are aimed at improving user experience and making the More section in the menu appear more streamlined. Those who frequently use these features in Edge may need to find alternative tools.
According to the schedule, Edge 117 is set to release in the week of September 14th.
