Enhancing Connectivity: Microsoft’s Phone Link Empowers Android Devices to Transform into Webcams for PCs.

Microsoft has introduced a new feature that allows the Phone Link/Link to Windows app to be used on Android 9.0 and above smartphones, turning them into webcams for PC Windows. This feature was initially unveiled alongside the Samsung Galaxy S24, which already comes with the Link to Windows app pre-installed. However, Microsoft has now expanded its reach to other smartphone models as well (users will need to install the Link to Windows app themselves). On the PC side, users currently need to be on Windows 11 Insider only.

TLDR: Microsoft’s new feature enables Phone Link/Link to Windows app to work with Android smartphones and PC Windows, expanding beyond Samsung Galaxy S24 and requiring Windows 11 Insider on the PC side.
