Enhancing User Experience: Introducing IDX’s Cutting-Edge IDE Project, now Compatible with Google’s Web Browser, Offering Unprecedented Features such as iOS Simulator and Android Emulator.

Google has upgraded the capabilities of IDX, the IDE project, through a web browser launched in August 2023. This enhancement includes the addition of the iOS Simulator and Android Emulator, allowing developers to preview mobile apps directly from the browser.

In addition to these advancements, IDX has also introduced templates for writing apps with popular frameworks such as Astro, Go, Python/Flask, Qwik, Lit, Preact, Solid.js, and Node.js. Furthermore, they have expanded the use of AI-powered code writing features to 15 more countries, although Thailand is not yet included.

Google shares that their internal team has already started using IDX. One notable example is the Firebase Blog, which was written using IDX and utilizes the Astro framework accessed through IDX.
