Enhancing Web Browsing Experience with Chrome: Simplifying Unsubscribing from Notification Messages and Adding One-Time Permission Grants

Google has announced new features for Chrome regarding website permissions requested from the browser.

Websites that request notifications and send constant updates may irritate users. Now, Chrome for Android has added an “Unsubscribe” button to directly stop notifications from the Android notification bar. It is currently available on Pixel devices, with other Android models to follow later.

Chrome will soon allow one-time permissions for accessing features like the microphone or camera to enable website usage at that moment without storing the data to maintain user privacy.

Chrome’s Safety Check feature will work in the background and recommend revoking permissions from websites that are no longer in use, as well as notify users about sites that misuse notifications.

TLDR: Google introduces new Chrome features for managing website permissions and enhancing user privacy and security.
