YouTube has announced the addition of new tools for creators at its annual event, YouTube Made. This year, the focus is on using AI capabilities for creative work.
The first tool is called Dream Screen, which can generate still images or videos for Shorts, a short video format. Users can input prompts to create background scenes that match their imagination. This feature will be gradually rolled out to some creators before expanding to everyone next year.
Next up is a new mobile app called YouTube Create, which assists in video editing, whether it’s for short clips or longer videos. The app provides all the necessary tools for video trimming, automatic captions, effects, and background music. Currently, the app is in beta and available for use in select countries on Android.
Last but not least, there’s AI Insights, a new feature in YouTube Studio that suggests ideas or interesting topics for the next video creation. These recommendations are personalized for each creator, based on what is trending among their channel’s viewers. This system also helps with writing video descriptions and even suggests suitable voice-over languages. Additionally, YouTube has integrated the automatic voice-over capability developed from the Area 120 project, Aloud Start.
TLDR: YouTube has introduced new tools to enhance the creativity of creators, including Dream Screen for generating background scenes, YouTube Create for comprehensive video editing, and AI Insights for personalized suggestions. These features provide intuitive assistance in video creation, making it easier for creators to produce high-quality content.
