Minecraft has announced new records during the Minecraft Live annual press conference. The game has sold over 300 million copies, solidifying its position as the best-selling game of all time since 2019, when it reached a milestone of 176 million copies sold.

This figure of 300 million copies is significantly higher than the second-best-selling game, GTA5, which reported its latest figures at 185 million copies.

Mojang Studios, the creators of Minecraft, have also announced plans for a grand celebration in May next year, as Minecraft will be turning 15 years old. They are preparing new content and experiences for players starting from today onwards.
