Global Automotive Delivery Report by Tesla for Q1/2025 Shows 13% Year-on-Year Decrease from Previous Year

Tesla has reported production and delivery figures for the first quarter of 2025. The number of cars produced is 362,615, a decrease of 16% compared to the same quarter in 2024. The number of cars delivered also decreased to 336,681, a 13% drop. This decrease in numbers comes from both the Model 3/Y and other car models that Tesla reported on.

The information provided may not be surprising as Tesla has previously reported decreasing delivery figures in the first quarter in several countries. In this report, Tesla mentioned improvements made to the production line of the Model Y in its 4 global factories, which caused production opportunities to be missed in the past quarter. However, production is currently on an upward trend.

TLDR: Tesla reports a decrease in both production and delivery numbers for the first quarter of 2025, attributed to adjustments made in the production of the Model Y.
