Canon has announced that the company is developing the RF-S7.8mm F4 STM DUAL lens pair for use with the EOS R7 camera for Spatial video shooting, which can be viewed through the Apple Vision Pro headset as announced by Apple at WWDC24 last night.
Canon states that this lens pair is one of the products of the EOS VR System series, set to be released by the end of this year (September-December), with no price announced yet. They are the first lens manufacturer to support video shooting for Vision Pro.
The RF-S7.8mm F4 STM DUAL lens has a field of view similar to that of the human eye and features high-speed autofocus. When recording video through this lens, data needs to be converted through the EOS VR Utility app to be compatible with Vision Pro.
