Introducing AWS Bedrock: Unleashing Comprehensive LLM Services with Flexible Payment Options Tailored to Usage Volumes and Timeframes

AWS has recently launched a groundbreaking service called Amazon Bedrock, which falls under the category of generative AI. This service includes large-scale language models and text-to-image generation models. What sets Bedrock apart is its ability to support models from various developers, including AI21 Labs, Anthropic, Cohere, Stability AI, and even Amazon itself. Additionally, there are plans to bring Meta’s Llama 2 into the mix in the future.

Although the service is now available, users must request access in advance, similar to Azure OpenAI Service, which requires filling out a reasoning form. The key differentiating factor of Bedrock compared to other similar services is the range of pricing options for the models. This includes popular token-based models such as OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, and Google PaLM that factor in input and output sizes, as well as models that charge based on throughput or the processing rate of inputs and outputs per minute. Users are billed on an hourly basis, and if they exceed the requested data, they may experience slower performance.
